Bodybylara Method

Bodybylara Method is a movement practice that addresses the entire body.
What Lara brings to the fitness world is a bridge between strength and graceful movement, merging the disciplines of dance and resistance training to create an empowering and transformative body-conditioning method.

The movements are fluid and organic, with exercises designed to stimulate the nervous system, increase range of motion, and improve muscle function and strength through rhythmic, flowing sequences and resistance training.

Lara is passionate about making movement based fitness and accessible to all body types.

"I tap into the intelligence of the body. When I walk into a class, I look around and work with what I see in that moment – whether it’s a group class or a private session. Reading the body is a skill I’ve developed through years of teaching and exploration.

When the body is your source of inspiration and the foundation of your research, you never reach a point where you think, ‘That’s it.’ I’m constantly evolving my method. Dance, yoga, resistance training, Pilates, Gyrotonics, Gyrokinesis, martial arts, and Garuda are all elements I explore. Nothing I do is premeditated. My method is adaptable to all body types, tailored to each individual’s limitations, capabilities, and goals.

I help clients explore new spaces within their bodies and improve their connection to the space around them. I’m interested in encouraging practitioners to think through their bodies as they perform movements. My goal is to help them gain an understanding of muscular connections while improving their overall strength.

As they progress, I guide them to another dimension, a new found strength, tenacity and resilience. The possibilities are endless.”

About Us

Lara & Team

Lara & Team

I have always been interested in the study of humans and the body. Growing up, I studied literature, humanities, and philosophy. My father was in the army, and he encouraged us to train. Living by the sea made us very active.

I grew up in Lebanon, which was war-torn. At the time, I was a bookworm, as we didn’t have much freedom to live freely for long periods. We expressed ourselves through movement, art, and science. I have always had a curious and inquisitive mind, and I developed a fondness for yoga at an early age. Back then, I had no idea I would become a trainer, but what I did know was that I had a love for research, attention to detail, and a drive to do things correctly and excel at them.

When I moved to London in 2000, I decided to explore teaching yoga. In order to teach yoga, I needed to learn the physiology of the body and the science of movement - the “nerd” in me wanted to do things properly. I trained extensively for years in classical and contemporary Pilates, Pilates for dancers, Gyrotonics, Gyrokinesis, Garuda, Garuda Barre, Barre, and yoga until I developed my own method: Body by Lara. This method combines movement and the science of the body to create a unique exercise modality.

In addition to teaching, I worked on developing fitness concepts for major fitness studios, training teachers to deliver Sculpt concepts. I launched two studios in London: Spiral Body and Body by Lara. Prior to opening my studios, I spent years touring the world with clients, including Sting and The Police.

This next stage in my career, CORE, is an exciting one. It’s where I will launch my Springs Sculpt™️ method, a technique I previously taught privately at my studio Spiral Body in Notting Hill. Now, this method will be available in group classes - a dream I have always had: to make specialised and niche fitness methods accessible to everyone.

I am very particular when selecting my team. Body by Lara concepts are taught by a fantastic group of trainers. The CORE team is made up of highly skilled professionals who bring expertise across a range of disciplines, including:

- Traditional yoga practices, preserving the essence and philosophy of yoga.
- Classically trained dance, blending artistry with movement.
- Advanced movement practices that improve coordination, agility, and balance.
- Weight lifting, focusing on strength, muscle building, and functional fitness.

Each instructor brings a unique perspective and a deep passion for their craft, ensuring every member benefits from both knowledge and inspiration in their fitness journey.
